The wisdom of this world and of our own human nature is that we decide what is most important to us in this life, money, power, family, etc., but Jesus calls us to a different way. He calls us to put God before every other thing.
Different: The Way of Jesus
Jesus taught a different way of living and being, one that is often diametrically opposed to the wisdom and values of this world, as well as our own human nature. Yet, this is part of why the way of Jesus is so powerful and life-changing because it’s a call to take a completely different path in this life. During the season of Lent, we will focus on some of Jesus’ most counterintuitive teachings that make the way of Jesus so different.
